| 1. Squzeed Thermocouple These thermocouples are also known as Reduced Tip Thermocouples. These thermocouples provide Fast Response and Long Life. 2. Tri-Level Thermocouple This thermocouple is suitable for harsh environment of glass industry. The Tri-level assembly is protected from the aggressive nature of the glass by an outer sheath of Platinum or a Platinum/Rhodium alloy and has three measuring points spaced to give readings of top, middle and bottom temperatures. This allows for accurate control of heating and cooling giving a homogeneous glass flow. 3. Coated thermocouple Thermocouples are available with different type of coating such as Tungsten Carbide, ceramic, PTFE, PVDF, PFA Coating. A. Tungsten coated Thermocouple is used in a furnace. The protecting sheath when coated with a thick layer of Tungsten minimizes the carburization process and extends the life of the probes significantly. B. PFA Coated Probes are the perfect solution when there is a need to measure the temperature of caustic or corrosive chemical solutions in industrial and laboratory environments. The superior corrosion resistance of PFA allows you to measure the temperature of sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric and chromic acids, as well as caustic compounds.

| Type R thermocouple This thermocouple is made from Platinum which is the negative leg and much softer and Platinum 13% Rhodium which is the stiffer positive leg. It is suitable for use in oxidising or inert atmospheres and may be used under reducing conditions or in a vacuum provided care is taken to ensure the refractory materials are free from siliceous materials. Pure recrystallised alumina is recommended. This thermocouple is suitable for continuous use up to 1400 C and for intermittent use up to 1650 C Type S thermocouple This thermocouple defines the international practical temperature scale between Antimony point (630.73 C ) and the gold point (1064.43 C). This thermocouple is made from Platinum which is the negative leg and much softer and Platinum 10% Rhodium which is the stiffer positive leg, and has the same operating requirements as type R. Again This thermocouple is suitable for continuous use up to 1400 C and for intermittent use up to 1650 C.. Type B thermocouple This combination platinum thermocouple is made from Platinum-30% Rhodium and Platinum -6% Rhodium. When they are compared to pure platinum thermocouples they suffer less from the effects of ''Rhodium migration'' and may be used at somewhat higher temperatures, continuous operating 1500 C and up to 1800 C intermittently.

| Thermocouple for Furnance Crown Product Details It is well known that Glass Melting Furnace includes a melting chamber in which solid batch materials are heated to produce molten glass. The arch of this melting chamber is known as crown. To measure and control the temperature of furnace crown is important, because with the correct temperatures one can improve the service life of crown, as the overheating of the crown may cause of early erosion of crown refractory and the other side if the temperatures are low, it can affect the melting efficiency and will increase the fuel consumption. The highest temperature in melting furnace is at crown. To select the right materials and assembly is quit important as the temperature at crown is even more than 1600°C. The design we recommend is with dual protection sheaths. In most of the furnace thermocouples are placed in block pockets, but over a period of service it may get through hole. At crown there are number of points to measure in center, Right & Left, the same kind of assemblies can be used for Regenerator Crown as well. |

| Trilevel for Forehearth/Distributor Product Details In Distributor & Fore-Hearths temperature measurement & control is most important, the glass fore-hearth control system includes a temperature sensing system and control system. The temperature sensing system includes an arrangement of pre-positioned temperature sensors. Simplex thimble thermocouples & tri-level / triplex thermocouples consist of an assembly of a bottom, middle and top thermocouples for sensing the vertical temperature profile of the molten glass at a fixed location. The output signals from these temperature sensors are received by controllers of the control system which then provide control signals & regulate the operation of the heat input devices and the cooling input devices.
